Subang : The jury for the National Finals Champion Award Songs to 27 (AJL27) at this time was reduced to 10 mencompared to 22 people last year to judge the prestigious eventit.
The issuer, Muhamad Sufian Che Jesus said they doaction because most jurors offered to arbitrateworks including songs and lyrics for the event are too busy withtheir art work.
“Even if we only get 10 judges only, butprocess of selecting the best work is not compromised as it judged bythe truly skilled.
“I believe that, through the DSA at this time all parties includingthe production, the media and the audience will be satisfied with the resultsmade later, “he said at a press conference at the Empire Hotel AJL27,near here, on Thursday evening.
Sufyan added, he would change little concept of judgment in AJL27 which may be judged by professional artists outsidecountries, namely Singapore and Indonesia.

In the meantime, he also ensures that jury selection has nothing to do with the award finalists.
“In recent years we have started to emphasize thejury selection where they can be sure that there is no connectionwith 12 finalists selected.
“In fact, we have made some research on each jurybefore appointing them to judge the work on DSA this year, “he said.
12 AJL27 will see who will be playing songs like Idol song Azlan & The Typewriter, Thousand Broken (Shila Amzah), Rainbow Sunset (Stacy ), Son Village (Jimmy Palikat & One Nation Emcees), Etched In the Stars (Yuna), Without You (Amir Jahari) and Waves Love (Hafiz & Adira).
Six more songs that were selected are Songs (Bedroom Sanctuary), Friends Successor (Black & RJ), Acknowledge Me (Hafiz), Symmetry (Hazama & Amy Search) and Andaiku Love Again (Mojo).
The event will be held on January 6 next at Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil, near here, at 9 pm.
It is themed “Art Expression” and still maintain the last DSA host of Faizal Ismail (FBI) and Cheryl Samad.
The red carpet on the same day will feature twotalented young celebrities that Miera Liyana and Kamal Adli who willstarting at 7.30pm.
