Kathmandu – A number of police here smelling the breath of motorists to detect those who drink alcoholic beverages, AFP news agency reported yesterday.
Absence of breath tester and blood test result in the police use to detect bad breath method of motorcyclists.
One of the motorcyclists, Ram Thapa, 27, has imposed a fine of 1,000 rupees (RM37.79) while his license taken away because the police found his breath showed that he was drinking hard liquor.
However, he was not arrested.
According to him, he drank three small glasses of wine locally.
