World Harvest Festival celebration festivities (WHF) 2012 held at the Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) curtain on the record sweet memories for visitors and tourists coming to the festival.
More than 10,000 visitors come to the SCV as a key location in conjunction with the activities Gawai celebrated in Sarawak on June 1 of each year. This time, the visitors get to see the show Grabber competition 13 men competed mighty strength and their prowess in the challenge to climb mountains, delve into the nuts and pull a car.During the festival, people were entertained with cultural performances from the Bamboo Sanggar bells brought in especially from Indonesia, a special dance from Aboriginal communities Mah Meri of Carey Island, Klang, Selangor, and presentations from the Culture Sungai Asap.
In addition, events are served to the public is playing drum sessions Ledam Ledum, dance drama performances, musical concerts Ka’au ethnic Kaban, craft and food festival special Dayak people.

the highlight of the day was the announcement that crowned Miss WHF 2012 Kayan and Iban descent girl, Awing Magrina George, 19, as the champion. Awing Magrina defeated 13 other finalists.
More special, in the competition Miss WHF 2012 is the emergence of Miss Malaysia World 2010/11, Nadia Heng Min Dern specially flown from Kuala Lumpur as one of the jury.WHF 2012 closing ceremony, officiated by the Sarawak Tourism Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg. Joined by Abang Johari’s wife, Datin Amar Jumaani Tuanku Bujang, Sarawak Tourism Minister Datuk Talib Zulpilip and SCV General Manager, Jane Lian Labang.

“I believe the WHF will be the event that must be accompanied by all Malaysians,” said student majoring in arts management.
One of the participants who came from Kuching Grabber, Halid Lalip, 33, admitted the program succeeded in placing Sarawak as a best tourist destination in the country.
“Sarawak is rich culture and making this program as one of the important events that need attention of all parties, “said the educator.
2012 WHF SCV organized in collaboration with One Drop Perfumes, which is well-known fragrance brand in Malaysia to be the main sponsor of the Miss WHF while the compact Kosmo newspaper! as a media partner.
