KUCHING – Mostly cylinder is connected as a popular food of the Malays, especially when they feast days such as Hari Raya or as a meal on special occasions.
However, lemang or Pogang the Bidayuh language is also a popular dish in response Gawai in Sarawak celebrated for two days starting today.
A trader from the village Grogo lemang, Bau near here, Laiyah Ajin, 50, told, lemang Sarawak has long been a popular dish every time Gawai arrived.
“It makes no difference to the cylinder is the Malay community and it is a dish that must be available every time arrived Gawai,” he told Kosmo! here.
