Sabak Bernam May 20 – feeling happy and satisfied is visible on the face of graduate Diploma in Tourism Management, Chung Wai Yee, 24, upon receiving the award of which is the highest award on the second day of the convocation of Polytechnics Idris Shah (PSIS), here today.
Girls who hails from Ipoh, Perak had received the award after achieving the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.67 in addition to active in the curriculum throughout the study.
Tells you about the secret of success, Wai Yee said, aside from focusing on learning in classrooms, active involvement in curricular activities are also important because it establishes the nature of the discipline in each individual.
“Focus on student need balanced is involved in other school activities focused on education.
“This is because the curriculum activities taught us many things including the meaning of life and can really help a person to succeed in whatever they are doing things, “he told Utusan Malaysia after the event.
The award was presented by the Director of the Centre for Research and Innovation Department of Polytechnic, Dr. Abdul Rahim Ahmad.
Present, Director of PSIS, Sulong Yahya, Deputy Director of Academic PSIS, Tan Sui Chee and Deputy Director of Academic Support, Yahya Zakaria.
A total of 1.564 graduates received certificates and diplomas in a convocation held over two days of yesterday.
Wai Yee said his late father, Chung Teck Fatt, who died about six years ago, has always been a source of inspiration to succeed in whatever field of endeavor, and her mother, Lim Pek Har, 59 , always has inspired him to succeed in their studies.
“I am not a brilliant student throughout the school year, but parents often provide support because they want to see me succeed in higher education,” he said.
