No intention trick the listener

This is all done to get the amount of listeners as possible. The goal of each radio is really not one. Only a relatively obscure tournament format and confusing cause misunderstanding listener so that they feel cheated.

This is what happened to Laugh & Fun contest organized by Suria FM radio when there are parties who are not satisfied and the claim is misleading to see the contest as if trying to deceive the listener.

According to the complaint that is sent through the column letter reader, a sender who wants to be known as the Concerned Listeners claim that the radio station to mislead the listener with the contest procedure.

Among other things he said, programs that last for one month beginning March 13 that do not offer gifts as they are publicized before the end of the contest’s winner won a cash prize of RM32, 400 instead of RM250, 000.

Concerned listeners of the radio station also argue that only offering RM100 consolation money to the finalists at the same time consider it not worth the energy and money is invested solely in respect of participants for the competition finals held in Kuala Lumpur.

Suria FM Head of Operations, Eric Hip Abu Samah, when met at his office in Petaling Jaya, asserts that radio stations never try to fool his audience altogether.
“In our terms and conditions state, Laughter & Fun Contest winners will be offered prizes amounting to RM250, 000. for the final competition, where winners are tested in terms of skills and their ability to get as much money to be taken in specified period of time.

“In the blender, the value of money that we put it amounted to RM250, 000. But the main winners get cash only RM22, 400. As an additional gift, we add RM10, 000 to RM32, 400. There is no reason to deceive our listeners. Perhaps what is happening is due to misunderstanding and confusion with the conditions given, “he said.

Describing is normal if there is not satisfied in any contest, Eric, however, disappointed that there are those considered Suria FM so desperate to get touted number one so willing to do such dirty tactics.

“For what we are doing so? We run this contest is transparent. If we cheat, cooking many participants asked us to hold back the end of this contest in the near future.

“As a radio station that will satisfy the listener, we try to give the best to them.

“Because of that we provide consolation money to the finalists. At first, we do not have a plan for awarding the prize to the winners of the other finalists but because it does not in the initial conditions. But we are generously giving a sum of RM100 on policy commitment they give, “he explained.

Although some error with the claim that is thrown, the Suria FM to apologize to anyone who is not satisfied for what happened.

“God willing in the near future, we will try to repair any less in order to satisfy listeners of this radio station,” he said.
