Events /> BOARD Zakat Selangor (LZS) zakat collection celebrates the 100 seats at the dinner Night Millions Grace which was held at Hotel De Palma Inn Shah Alam recently.

The dinner is an annual program, held specifically to celebrate the zakat collection agents of private companies, universities high, audit firms, commercial banks and tax agents.

According to Selangor Mufti Datuk Mohamed Secretariat Tamyes Abdul Wahid, LZS always appreciate the contribution of each tithe collection agent appointed because they are a chain that can strengthen the collection of zakat in the state.

“In the past year the LZS RM373.5 million raised charity money. We hope the collaboration and efforts of all parties, including the appointed agents, we are able to collect zakat of RM450 million this year .

“More high zakat collection, the more mercy for the Muslims, especially the recipients of charity in dire need of aid distribution,” ‘he said at the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Petroleum Nasional Bhd (Petronas) is given the best collection of award-percent performance category for zakat payment of salary deduction scheme.

Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) has won the award for best collection performance category amil assistant agent of higher education institutions (HEIs) .
