Beego actor pleaded not guilty to accusations Khalwat
KUALA LUMPUR: singer and actor Beego with two friends pleaded not guilty to charges of seclusion imposed on them in the East Gombak Syariah Subordinate Court here today.
Beego Aszerul real name is Md Nizam Abdullah, 32, with Fikry Zainon and Atan Meor Ahmad Mohd Arsli confessed in front of the Judge, Shaiful Azli Jamaludin.
Meanwhile, two women who are their contact is Almaz Yazit @ Mohamad Aziz and Hadijah Mokhar pleaded guilty and imposed a fine of RM3, 000 or six months imprisonment. Both of them pay a fine.
According to facts of the case, the five accused arrested a group of Religious Enforcement Officer on February 23, 2011 at about 6 am at a house in condominium homes, Hill International, Ampang near here .All of them each charged under Section 29 (1) (a) and (b) the Selangor Syariah Criminal Enactment 1995 as khalwat a maximum fine of RM3, 000 or imprisonment for two years or both once upon conviction.
The five accused to appear after the court issued an arrest warrant for failing to attend the mention on 10 April.
Beego who is a widower, was married to Diamond Shariza Mohd Shahru, 31, but split on March 16, 2009 after two years as husband and wife.
