OF 100 types of food products and drinks small and medium enterprises (SMEs) now penetrate the large Tesco supermarket in Shanghai, China through the “Taste of Malaysia” due to overwhelming response since its launch in Tesco Beijing, last year.
Through the program, 40 types of SME products from Malaysia brought in, while 60 more will follow in stages over three months in a large supermarket chain Tesco in the state.

“In fact, I understand that the success of Tesco brand in Beijing Malaysia is significant when the products of SMEs increased to 144 compared with 100 products since its launch last year.
“While sales of SME products in Tesco was also increased by 224 percent with an average monthly sales of about RM6, 000 years ago,” he told reporters after launching the program in Tesco Dahua, Shanghai.
