Awards organized television network Astro Arena for the second year of the gymnasium acclaim awarded Star Choice Sports Desk beat four main competitors of The Star, New Straits Times, Straits Times and the New Straits Times.
Author Sports Star, Mohd Radzi Wahab said this award proves news reported in this newspaper readers choice.

Last year, the award was won by Kosmo newspaper sports desks.
This award gives full power to the fans choose the most qualified candidates contested award in recognition of local athletes and sports personalities choice.
Eight categories this year, Choice Athlete Award for Men and Women in Teams, Athletes Youth Options, Resurrection Options, Coaches Choice, Choice Sports Blog, Match Options and Choice Sports Desk.
The nominations for this year is selected solely by the Astro Arena in collaboration with the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM).
