There is still claiming consolation money to RM3, 000

KUALA LUMPUR – The Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) has opened the application to the ex-police at the time of emergency to earn money-off compensation payment of RM3, 000 as announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in Budget 2012 last October.

Secretary General, Tan Sri Mahmood Adam said, until last year, of 72,000 ex-police days of emergency has been identified and are eligible to receive the consolation money.

A total of 72.000 Emergency former police on duty between 1948 and 1962 in West and 1962 to 1974 in Sabah and Sarawak has started to receive the consolation paid last month.
