KOTA KINABALU: The sad heart of a husband and wife when their son was two years old being treated in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) after undergoing surgery to remove tumors in the brain, is now critical and due to alleged negligence of the nurse.

“I am confident that the nurse had put the milk in a channel that is not correct because the food usually is transmitted through a tube inserted through the nose.

“After the incident, the doctors and the management to see me and said in apology for the error,” he said.

He said that regrettably now the hospital as if trying to hide mistakes and give excuses.

“I want to know who the person responsible and he should apologize to my face because it involves human life.


“What’s more, my daughter was two years old and disabled people are,” he said, ‘live’ in the hospital the past three months.

Laifi said after the incident involved, he found the body diminishing her.

“Although the doctors said our son is no problem due to the incident, we remain concerned that significant changes in body weight,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Health Minister Datuk Rosnah Abdul Rashid Shirlin said Friday when contacted, assured he would do a thorough investigation on the matter.

“This case involves serious negligence. I will ask the hospital to give a full report of the incident before any action is taken, “he said.
