Madrasah Committee summons mention Salihiah February 21

noshade=”noshade” ALOR STAR – Alor Setar High Court here today set Feb. 21 for the mention of summons filed by members of the committee (committee) Salihiah Madrasa mosque on the state government to prevent prayer from being demolished to make way for a shopping complex worth 500 million.

Senior Assistant Registrar of the High Court, Nabisha Ibrahim decided in chambers to allow all parties to submit affidavits to support their case.

Jamludin Murad, 67, who filed the writ on the 9 January of the mosque committee, named the Islamic Religious Council (Maik), land office and the Kota Setar Kedah government as a defendant, respectively first, second and third.

In the writ, apply to be declared Jamludin null and void the decision of the Fatwa Committee on July 4 last Kedah to allow the developer to pay compensation to Maik for the acquired land endowment.
