CHENOR – Action approving the construction of business premises in order to create Medan Info Desa Kampung Batu 13 Jengka here to protest some of the people when the infrastructure work is done on a site believed to be the old cemetery.
A resident, Abdullah Mohd Shariff, 39, said the old cemetery is believed to exist prior to independence by using river stones as tombstones.
According to him, the old and the people know the history of the existence of six veteran’s cemetery around the old village.
“We were surprised that the construction work carried out on the business premises concerned.
” In fact, were disappointing when the existence of this old cemetery is ignored when a few miles tie refused to clean the construction site machinery.
“I denied claims by some authorities say it is not the grave of old and new river rock just normal,” he told The Star.
Gazette old tomb site
